Description

A good well made mahogany wellington chest with 5 graduated drawers plus hinged fall. The 45 inch tall chest has fewer, but deeper, graduated drawers than many; their internal depths are 7,8,9.5,13 &16cm and lower compartment internally 23cms. The locking bar has a working lock and key.

Good antique condition. It would probably have been office type use so has a few signs of wear commensurate with age.

A Wellington chest is a tall, narrow suite of drawers named after the First Duke of Wellington following his victory at Waterloo.
