Antique Afghan Taimani Sistan Baluch 'Seh (Three) Mihrab' prayer rug.

Circa 1900.

This is a good example of a seh-mihrab (three mihrab) prayer rug by the Taimani Baluch, the rug is well drawn and has an 'earthy' soft colour palette. The Taimani Baluch were semi nomadic in the Sistan Provence of Western Afghanistan, this design of prayer rug is unique to them.
