Lee Wright Antiques & Interiors Ltd has dated this Italian Gilt Console Table to the 19th Century.
This table is decorated throughout in its original white/cream and gilt scheme.
The frieze has applied carvings of floral subjects and paterae and the turned legs have applied floral capitals and fluting. All of this carving is executed in wood and not composition. It retains its original marble top which, though predominantly white, picks up the gilt theme of the painted sections with its yellow/brown figuring.
