Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Art Deco jewellery from the 1930s is characterised by geometric shapes, clean symmetrical lines, and bold colour contrasts. Influenced by industrial design and modern architecture, pieces frequently paired white metals with contrasting coloured gemstones such as rubies, sapphires, or onyx alongside diamonds.

Art Deco dress rings were predominantly constructed from platinum or 18ct white gold to complement the brilliance of diamonds. Accent stones often included calibre-cut rubies, sapphires, or emeralds, hand-set into channel or bezel settings.

Authentic 1930s pieces typically feature hand-cut diamonds such as old European or transitional cuts, precise geometric settings, and fine detail work like millegrain borders or hand-engraved shanks. Hallmarks indicating metal purity and maker marks also assist in period identification.

An Art Deco dress ring serves as a focal statement piece when worn on the right-hand ring or index finger. Its clean geometric silhouette allows it to pair seamlessly with contemporary tailoring, minimalist evening wear, or casual denim ensembles.

Clean the ring gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush, avoiding harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners if stones are delicate. Store the piece separately in a fabric-lined box to prevent harder diamonds from scratching neighbouring gems or precious metal.
