Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Twist rings, often referred to as bypass or moi et toi rings, gained prominent popularity during the late Victorian, Edwardian, and Art Deco eras. The design features a fluid band that wraps around the finger, placing two gemstones side by side to symbolise connection and partnership.

During the 1920s, platinum became the metal of choice for fine jewellery due to its strength and bright white finish, allowing for delicate claw settings. These rings frequently incorporated natural precious gemstones such as rubies, sapphires, and emeralds paired alongside diamonds.

Authentic Art Deco rings typically feature period hallmarks, hand-crafted platinum or white gold mounts, and antique stone cuts such as cushion or old European cuts. The structural design often displays geometric framing or elegant flowing lines characteristic of 1920s craftsmanship.

An antique gemstone twist ring functions as a versatile statement piece that can be worn individually on the index or ring finger. Its classic profile allows it to pair seamlessly with modern minimalist jewellery or slim platinum bands.

To maintain platinum and ruby rings, clean them gently using warm water, mild soap, and a soft-bristled brush. Store the piece in a lined jewellery box separated from other items to prevent surface scratching on metals and stones.
