Founded in Massachusetts in 1850, the Waltham Watch Company pioneered mass-production techniques for precision pocket watches. Their lever-escapement timepieces became renowned internationally for reliability, standardized interchangeable components, and widespread adoptability throughout the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
