Arthur George Walker(20 October 1861 – 13 September 1939) was an English sculptor and painter. Among his best-known works are several war memorials and the statue of Florence Nightingale in Waterloo Place, London. Walker also drew illustrations and engravings. Likely a preparatory sketch for an illustration or engraving, this sketch of a tree is extremely well formed and drawn with remarkable confidence.
 
Later glazed frame. The whole remains in a very good condition and striking when displayed.
