In their own words
We have been with SellingAntiques for over five years and have found it to be a valuable platform for our online fine art and antiques business. It provides excellent exposure to collectors in the UK and internationally, while giving established dealers a dedicated marketplace in which to present their stock professionally. We particularly value the platform’s specialist focus on antiques and fine art and the additional visibility it brings to Cheshire Antiques Consultant Ltd. We are very pleased to continue being part of the SellingAntiques dealer community.

Fairford Barn AntiquesGloucestershire · member since 2021Before joining sellingantiques.co.uk as an antiques dealer, I researched almost every selling platform on the internet. What drew me to sellingantiques.co.uk was a combination of its simple, fixed price subscription model, and its global reach through optimised search engine optimisation. On our very first day joining Selling Antiques, we sold three big ticket items, which we were extremely pleased with. Since then I don't think one week has gone by where we haven't sold an item as a result of being on sellingantiques.co.uk

Cloverleaf Home InteriorsNorfolk · member since 2010I have been on "selling antiques" since lockdown, which was a very worrying time, as all antique fairs were cancelled...I really wondered about the future, so I joined "selling antiques" and it really saved my business...everyday I loaded my antiques onto the portal and the great world of online selling became apparent how very important it was to the future...my sales kept coming and it was a joy to work from home....if I had known how well it was going to work, I wouldn't have applied for a bounce back loan...I simply wouldn't have needed it....so move forward four years and I am still on the "best" selling portal and it gives me a world wide shop window with continued sales....I still do the large showground antique fairs which compliment the online side....it really works and I have no hesitation in recommending this professional site...I wouldn't be without it..!
Mark Seabrook AntiquesBedfordshire · member since 2020Selling Antiques connects trusted dealers with buyers seeking fine art and antiques, making the process easy for everyone. Footfall
Footfall is what sells antiques, and it is the hardest thing for a dealer to buy. Every day more than 10,000 visits are made to Sellingantiques, and 50,000 pages of antiques are served. No rent, no rates, no closing time, and every visitor came to look at antiques.
Around 30% of our visitors do not arrive from a search engine at all. They have Sellingantiques bookmarked and they come back, week after week: dealers, interior designers and private collectors who use the site as part of how they buy.
What we hear most often
It is. This is how an antique is sold today.
Buyers look online first. Your piece is seen by people who would never have walked past your door, or even known where your door is.
An enquiry or a telephone call, straight to you. You answer their questions, send more photographs and arrange a time.
Many buyers are happy to buy on the strength of your photographs and your name, without ever visiting a showroom. Others still like to see the piece first. Either way, the sale is yours.
The buyers have moved online. Sellingantiques puts your stock in front of them.
The changing face of the trade
Not because business is bad, but because they have found a better way to run it. Across the UK, many dealers are moving from shop fronts to larger premises: barns, warehouses and showrooms open by appointment.
They keep more stock, at lower cost, and they find their buyers online. Sellingantiques is where those buyers are looking.
Why it works for dealers
Nobody stands between you and your customer. Buyers email or telephone you directly, you answer their questions yourself, and you agree the sale between you. The relationship is yours to keep.
A great many British antiques are sold to buyers overseas, and your stock is seen around the world with prices shown in pounds, dollars and euros. If you have not exported before, we can guide you through shipping and customs.
Before a piece appears on the site, a member of our team checks its dateline and the quality of its photographs. It keeps the standard high, so buyers trust what they see here, and that includes your stock.
Sellingantiques is for antiques businesses only. There are no private sellers, so your stock is shown alongside 65,000 pieces from nearly 500 established dealers and nothing else.
Every membership includes
The same tools for every member. The only thing you choose is how many pieces you list.
The costs
Choose how many pieces you want to list. That works out at around £1 a piece a month, and a single sale can pay for months of membership.
Need more than 350 items? Contact us for bespoke pricing.
How it works
Fill in the short form below and set up your monthly payment securely with Stripe.
Add your photographs, a description and a price. Our team checks each piece for its dateline and photograph quality, then it goes live.
Enquiries arrive in your inbox and on your phone. You deal with the buyer directly and agree the sale.
Save the double upload
Many dealers already have their stock on their own website, or on another platform, and would rather not photograph and type it all in a second time. Some prefer us to do it for them.
We take your stock from your own website, or from another platform once its owner has agreed, photographs, descriptions and prices included, and set it up on Sellingantiques for you. It comes at a small extra cost and saves you a great deal of time. Ask us about it before or after you join.
You will be in good company
We want your dealership to be the next on the list...

Beyond the website
The Bottom Line is BBC Radio 4's business programme, presented by Evan Davis. Each week it brings together leading figures from one industry to talk about how their business really works.
In October 2026 the programme turned to the UK antiques trade. Around the table were the auctioneer and antiques expert Catherine Southon, the antiques expert, author and broadcaster Mark Hill, and Sellingantiques, invited to speak for the online side of the trade. It was a wide-ranging conversation about each guest's experience of the trade and the part each has played in its development.
The programme was first broadcast on Thursday 1 October 2026 and repeated on Tuesday 6 October, and it can still be heard on BBC Sounds.
For a dealer, it means your stock sits on a site the national broadcaster takes seriously. It is the kind of attention that brings new buyers to Sellingantiques, and to the dealers on it.

Questions dealers ask
UK antiques businesses of any size, from a single dealer working from home to a large showroom or antiques centre. We do not accept private sellers.
One monthly fee, set by how many pieces you list: £90 for up to 75 items, £124 for 150, £225 for 250 and £331 for 350. Every membership includes the same tools.
Straight away. As soon as your payment is set up you can log in and begin uploading your stock.
Good photographs of each piece, a description, its measurements and a price. If you already have these for your own website, you have everything you need.
Contact us and we will agree a price for your stock.
Yes. If your stock is already on your own website, we can bring it across and set it up on Sellingantiques for you, so there is no double upload. If it is on another platform, we need that platform's permission first: we cannot simply take photographs and details from another website, so we agree it with them before anything is copied. There is a small extra charge for this. Contact us and we will give you a price.
Genuine antiques. Each piece is listed with its dateline, and our definition of an antique and datelines explain what qualifies.
Every piece you upload is looked at by a member of our team before it appears. We check two things: that the dateline is right, and that the photographs are good enough to do the piece justice. It protects the reputation of the site, and of every dealer on it.
Through your own dealer control panel. Add photographs, a title, a description, measurements and a price, and submit the piece for approval. You can edit or remove a piece at any time.
Yes. Each membership includes an allowance of item videos, from 15 to 200 depending on the number of pieces you list.
Yes. Our website widgets show your live stock on your own site and keep it up to date automatically.
You mark it as sold in your control panel. It moves to the sold section of your shop page, which builds into a record of what you have sold.
Private collectors, interior designers and the trade, from the UK and overseas. Around 30% of our visitors come straight to the site because they use it regularly.
Directly. Every piece you list carries your name and your contact details. Buyers send an enquiry, which arrives in your inbox, or they telephone you.
Yes, more every year. Many buy on the strength of good photographs and a conversation with you; others still like to visit and see the piece first. The site brings you the buyer; how the sale is completed is up to the two of you.
The buyer pays you directly, in whichever way you agree with them.
Yes. Overseas buyers use the site, and prices are shown in pounds, dollars and euros. If you are new to exporting, we can guide you through shipping and customs.
Your billing address is never shown on the site.
