This fine antique Irish mahogany serving table, made circa 1910 in the manner of James Hicks of Dublin, is a superb example of early 20th-century craftsmanship inspired by the George II period (1727–1760). Constructed from mahogany and pine, the table features a moulded rectangular top above a finely carved frieze decorated with foliate swags and a bold central mask carving — a hallmark of Irish furniture design.
The rich, warm patina of the mahogany enhances the depth and beauty of the carving, making this table as decorative as it is functional.
