M Lees and Sons has dated this George IV Serving Table to the 19th Century.
. The frieze fitted with two ‘blind’ drawers with a beaded moulding running below .

The inverted breakfront outline top supported on a heavily moulded section, having a broad border of mahogany cross-banding and fitted with a low upstand to the back with a decorative central classically-inspired leaf and scroll-carved mount and a moulded surround . The rear supports of tapering square section with reeded detailing.

In excellent original condition with a rich colour and patina. Minor historic marks and wear to the top commensurate with age , use and purpose. A highly decorative table of good large-scale ‘country-house’ proportions to provide functionality and visual impact to an interior. The height of the table providing excellent height for serving and display, whilst offering ample space below to perhaps house a wine-cooler or cellarette .
