Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Originating in the late 18th century during the reign of King George III, a bow front chest features a convex curved front profile designed to soften the angular lines of a room while providing deep drawer storage.

These chests were typically constructed from solid mahogany or mahogany veneers over oak or pine carcass frames, featuring hand-cut dovetail drawer joints, crossbanded inlay, and cast brass handles.

Authentic Georgian pieces exhibit hand-sawn wood marks on the back, hand-cut irregular dovetails, original steel locks, and natural age-related shrinkage in the timber or drawer linings.

A Georgian bow front chest acts as a focal anchor when paired with contemporary abstract artwork, minimalist table lamps, or neutral wall palettes to contrast the rich mahogany tones.

Keep the timber away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent drying or splitting, dusting regularly with a soft cloth and applying a natural beeswax polish twice a year along the wood grain.
