Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Academy candlesticks are heavy metal candle holders produced during the 19th century, frequently issued to official institutions such as military academies, government departments, or civic buildings.

Candlesticks from this era were typically cast in copper alloy or bronze using multi-part moulds, assembled with threaded rods or solder, and finished with lathe-turning and chemical patination.

Authentic pieces feature stamped or engraved royal cyphers, such as the VR crown mark for Queen Victoria, along with distinct hand-lathe turning marks and period-appropriate weight and patination.

These decorative metalware pieces can be styled as focal accents on a fireplace mantelpiece, within a traditional bookcase, or placed symmetrically on a dark wood desk or sideboard.

Dust regularly with a dry, soft cloth, and avoid abrasive chemical polishes that strip original patination, opting instead for light applications of microcrystalline wax to preserve the metal finish.
