Frank Rousse(fl 1897-1917) painted in both oil and watercolour; landscapes and coastal views.He lived at Ilford,Essex in1897,and Hadley,Hertfordshire.Many of his works were scenes in Yorkshire and he exhibited between 1897 and 1917,three times in the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours,and twice at the Royal Academy. ‘ Whitby Harbour,Yorkshire’ signed watercolour dated(18)99; image size29x40 cms, framed size 51x61 cms.This is a fine and most attractive example of the artists work.
