The pegs are in untouched condition and the particularly good top has developed a lovely sun bleached colour with good patina. To the underneath is a dry untouched surface with traces of the original pit saw markings.

Maintain the timber surface by dusting regularly with a soft cloth and applying a thin coat of beeswax polish once or twice a year, while keeping the item away from direct heat sources and excessive moisture.
