Beautiful 1921sterling Silver Jewellery Box

Description

This is a very pretty Antique Silver Rings Box or Jewellery Box from the early 1920s. It would be perfect for storing small items in such as rings or earrings.

It comes in a gift bag and would be a very special present.

It was made by Robert Chandler and it was Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1921.

The box is made of Sterling Silver and has four ball feet. The lid lifts to show a pretty interior lined with a very light green silk material. The hinge works well.

The Silver is shiny with a little tarnish. There are a couple of lined dents in the lid and two very small ones on the side, none of which are particularly obvious and are more visible when looking at the box at an angle. There is also a small scratch to the lid.

It weighs 59g.

It measures 8.2cm by 4.8cm (3 1/4 inches by 1 7/8 inches). The height is 2.8cm (just over 1 inch).
