How do I hang a heavy crystal chandelier?

Hanging these fixtures requires securing the weight directly into ceiling joists using appropriate steel fixings and hooks. The substantial brass frames and crystal tiers demand professional electrical and structural installation. Ensuring the electrical supply box can support the mass of multi-light brass and glass structures prevents structural failure.

What rooms suit a waterfall chandelier?

Grand spaces like dining rooms, entrance halls, and high-ceilinged reception rooms accommodate large multi-branch tent and waterfall chandeliers effectively. Smaller bag or dome fixtures fit bedrooms, hallways, or compact parlours. The vertical cascade draws the eye upward, making them focal points in formal interior schemes.

How do I clean crystal chandeliers?

Cleaning involves applying a specialised glass spray onto the crystals while protecting the metal components underneath. Allowing the solution to drip off onto towels placed below removes dust without requiring total disassembly. Individual prisms can be wiped gently by hand when deeper restoration of the cut glass is necessary.

What is the difference between tent and bag styles?

Tent styles feature an upper canopy of strung crystals sloping outward to a wider ring, often paired with a cascading waterfall below. Bag styles concentrate the glass into a distinct pouch or sack shape suspended tightly beneath the mount. Tent designs typically appear on larger chandeliers, whereas bag designs offer a more contained profile.
