How do I clean a silver frame?

Use a soft cloth and a specialised silver polish designed to remove tarnish without scratching the metal surface. Avoid applying liquid cleaners directly near the wooden backs or fabric linings to prevent moisture damage.

What periods do these frames cover?

The pieces span the Victorian, Edwardian, and Art Deco eras, extending into the mid-twentieth century. Stylistic shifts reflect changing tastes from ornate floral motifs to geometric lines.

Are the backs original?

Many retain their period wooden or velvet-covered backings with original easel stands. Replacement backings occur due to the fragile nature of early materials over time.

What sizes are available?

Dimensions range from small miniature frames intended for intimate portraits to larger presentation pieces. Proportions vary according to whether the design is intended for desk use or wall mounting.
