Are the painted finishes original?

How do I care for antique pine furniture?

Protect the timber by avoiding placement near direct heat sources or strong sunlight which can dry out the old wood. Regular gentle dusting and occasional appropriate waxing will help preserve the surface. Allow the natural character and existing patina to show rather than attempting harsh chemical cleaning.
