French 19th Century Burr Amboyna Twin Tea Caddy.
An exquisite example of a French mid 19th century tea caddy dating back to c.1850. It’s a glorious piece of burr amboyna edged in brass with a brass inlaid patterned border, the decorative centre is tulipwood brass and mother of pearl. It has wonderful cut corners. Open the box to reveal the original rosewood interior with twin lids and brass borders. The key is just for decoration and doesn’t work the lock.
Superb quality and condition measuring 24 x 12 and stands 12cm high
