Carved Mahogany Open Arm Chair

Description

A Mahogany Open Arm Chair.

The chair with an entwined leaf and rocaille top rail, above the scrolled and leaf decorated back splat, held with an emerging leaf yoke. The side rails waisting to the pair of shaped and swept arms, likewise with leaf decoration, the leather seat with piped edges and close studding above the well carved rising leaf and flower legs, sweeping in a taper to dolphin carved feet.

Date circa 1900.
