Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A pole screen is an adjustable fireside shield introduced in the eighteenth century to protect a persons face from direct hearth heat while sitting near an open fire.

Regency pole screens were predominantly crafted from polished hardwoods such as mahogany or rosewood, holding a panel composed of silk, needlepoint embroidery, or hand-painted textiles.

Authentic nineteenth-century examples feature hand-carved wood details, a functional metal screw or slide mechanism along a central column, and period-appropriate tripod base construction.

A pole screen functions as an accent piece placed near a fireplace hearth, alongside an armchair, or within an unused corner to display historical textile work.

Keep the timber clean using natural beeswax polish and keep the textile panel away from direct sunlight and damp conditions to prevent fabric fading and degradation.
