C18th French Bonheur De Jour

Description

A quality C18th kingwood Bonheur du Jour, inlaid all over with other exotic woods, rosewood, satinwood, and ebony stringing, the top with a bronze pierced gallery. The two tambour fronted doors open back to reveal four small inlaid drawers with ring pull handles.

The base has a single freize drawer with opening writing surface above, on thin tapering legs with brass feet.

Age related wear. The leather is a later replacement and it’s missing one of the small escutcheons on the right hand tambour door.
