Circa 1880.

This superb quality writing desk is in showroom condition and is an absolutely stunning piece of furniture. Smothered in beautiful marquetry inlay and brass decoration, this extremely decorative piece would be a real feature in any period home.

It has centre shaped mirror at the back over a stationary drawer and flanked either side by small glazed cupboards. The drop flap opens to create a writing surface inset with a mushroom coloured brown leather. There are a further 3 stationary storage drawers and 4 pigeon holes and an extra storage compartment accessed by a sliding lid inside.

On cabriole legs with ormolu mounts.

A very nice quality piece.
