Black Forest Oval Bevelled Mirror, Early 20th Century.

1900 - 1920
Description

Here is a lovely oval Black Forest mirror, intricately carved in fruitwood depicting vine branches, leaves and berries.

The wood is golden in colour and has a rich and warm patina. To the reverse is a makers mark of 'SUt', presumably a continental maker.

The bevelled mirror has the surface wear to be expected of a piece of its age, and the carved wooden frame is in excellent condition. The frame measures 41cm by 30 cm, with the mirror itself measuring 25cm by 19cm.
