Description

A good oil on canvas of a still life showing a bowl of fruit and oriental pottery by Alfred Blundell.

In very good condition and in original frame which has been gilded but aged in a good way that has left it

with a patina which complements the picture.

Alfred Richard Blundell was born in Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk. Attended Slade School of Fine Art in 1913. Showed his work at Royal Academy, New English Arts Club, Alpine Club Gallery and extensively in the provinces. Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, other provincial museums, Luxembourg, Paris hold his work. Lived at Cavenham, Bury St. Edmunds.
