Description

Hi

I have for sale an 1890 Alfred Drocourt giant repeater carriage clock in stunning condition for the age fully restored and serviced movement and platform escapement in perfect working order with the large original key.

The Case

The case is in beautiful polished brass and stands 25cm high x 14.5cm wide with a depth of 12cm it is in very good original condition very shiny has been very well looked after, with thick beveled glass sides and rear door.

The Dial

The dial is in mint original condition white porcelain with Roman numerals, all housed in a stunning chased masked dial with the original fine spade hands.

The Movement

The movement is an eight-day time and strike which strikes the hours and half hours on a blue steel gong to the rear. the movement has been fully restored two months ago so keeping good time over eight days via the original restored silvered platform escapement.

The back plate is stamped by the maker stamp.

Overall a very rare clock quite rare in this original condition that looks great on display keeping good time.

The photos do not do justice to this lovely old clock.

I will post worldwide but is mega-heavy.
