A charming near pair of Georgian silhouettes with gilt highlights depicting a suited gentleman and lady, likely husband and wife.

The works are very well executed with fine attention to detail. Each work is housed in a glazed black and gilt frame typical of the period, the silhouette frame for the lady being slightly larger. The frames shows some light wear commensurate with age, most notably a small indentation to the top of the frame under the acorn to the gentleman, but generally both silhouettes remain in a good condition.
