The 12-inch square brass dial with matted centre, silvered chapter ring, Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture and gilt spandrels, the twin train weight driven movement striking a bell contained with a hood with ogee moulded cornice, the glazed door flanked by two half columns, the trunk with door inlaid with foliate designs and centred with a pendulum viewing aperture, raised on a box base on bracket feet, 48cm wide, 25cm deep, 247cm high, (18 1/2in wide, 9 1/2in deep, 97in high)
