Description

A fine quality rosewood writing slope that dates to around 1840

It has a original waxed finish with abalone and pewter decoration on the outside and a metal cartouche and escutcheon on the front and top

A divider to the left on the pen tray is raised to release a sprung panel behind which are a pair of secret drawers

Has a set of original unusual inkwells which are opened by a screw and turning mechanism and a working lock and key

Comes with an attractive replacement black leather skiver

Measures 14 inches wide, 10 inches deep and 6 inches
