A rare very interesting solid silver wick holder / vesta case? It is hallmarked for with the Queens head duty mark, the lion passant mark and the makers mark TJ. It has been nicely designed being round with the central part being able to rotate to bring a taper cord around. The rotating central part looks like it should open but I can''t figure it out, maybe it''s seized. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, it has been engraved. It measures over 2 inches (5.3cms) across and weighs 42 grams. A very interesting example.
