~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
It is of Louis XVI design and mounted with exquisite Sèvres style porcelain panels. The porcelain has a Bleu Celeste ground with delicately cherub, flowers and exotic birds. To the top is classical urn with a garland of roses trailing down both sides.

The dial is porcelain enamel on copper and is complete with original finely fretted gilt brass hands and convex glass. The rear bezel is glazed with frosted glass.
The French movement is of high quality and is by Louis Japy et Fils, the early version of the makers mark is on the movement back plate. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is an old replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock running, please ask and we will send you a link.

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is clean and bright with some wear to the high spots. The dial is also very good. Porcelain is very good with some wear to the over-glaze gilt decoration, this has been touched in in places.
