Antique Burr Walnut & Ebonised Duchess Piano Topped Dressing Table.

An outstandingly grand and elegant dressing table.

We are delighted to bring to you this truly fantastic Victorian Duchess dressing table made around C1860 in figured burr Walnut complemented with black ebonised embellishments.

This grand dressing table features beautiful Burr Walnut book-matched veneer to the whole frontage which is complemented by its unusual ebonised edges. Either side of this dressing table are 2 small three draw jewellery compartments affixed to the top which the ornate fretwork carved mirror supports stand on to support the mirror. The adjustable tilt mirror is working perfectly and holds well at angles and is complete with its original glass which has very minimal pitting.

Below the dressing tables stunning Burr Walnut top are 2 larger dovetail constructed very useful drawers. Flanking either side are 2 turned and fluted pillars with carved collars which descend to a larger curved shaped lower shelf which stands on little bun feet.

This dressing table has been sympathetically restored maintaining original patina, signs of age and has a lovely rich original colour and beautiful highly glazed French polished finish. We carefully waxed this item to give a natural sheen, preserve and protect the item.

Please note this item is in very good condition for its age but will have the odd blemish here and there. We feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character.
