An exceptionally good looking well-made and comfortable suite of armchairs, I have four of these in total, this sale is for all four however I have a pair listed for sale under my other items should the new owner only wish for two
The chairs are circa 1900-1920 Art deco, they have fully coil sprung frames so the back, seat base and arms are all sprung, this is the most comfortable (and expensive) way to make a club armchair. The seat cushions are all feather filled.
The leather is thick saddle hide upholstery which was fitted new a couple of years ago, we have washed it back and hand dyed it this glorious rich cigar brown colour which is exclusive to my leather polishers. They have hand dyed maybe 5000 pieces for me over the years, this is the only suite to have this exact colour, it is amazing.
The carved panels are way earlier, I''m not sure exactly how old but they look and feel gothic, sometime in the 17th to 18th century for sure, they are continental European and a work of art in their own right
