Attractive Flame Mahogany Longcase Clock with Charming Painted Dial Of A Couple At Harvest Time. The Girl watching her Boo eat His Lunch She Has Bought Him. Church with Bridges Joining the 2 Banks and Cottage Scenes in the Corners. Seconds and Date Dials

I have not yet fully deciphered the Makers Name and Town. It Looks to Read:- Tho: Chaytor of South Moor. There was a Samuel Chaytor of County Durham Listed by Brian Loomes Circa 1770-1837. Though he suspects it should in fact Read Chatus and not Chaytor. So, Whether Thomas was a Relative or an unconnected I cannot confirm at present.

The Case is from Beautiful Mahogany with Attractive Graining and Patination. Of Good Proportions and Size Height 83.5in or 212.3cm with Slim Trunk.

The 8 day Movement Strikes the Hours at the O'clock on a Crisp Clear Bell. It has been Checked, Serviced and Tested to be in Good And Full Antique Working Condition.
