Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A William IV work table is a piece of 1830s British furniture, typically featuring a circular or octagonal top designed to hold needlework supplies, characterized by heavy classical carving and turned pedestal bases.

Cabinetmakers during the William IV period primarily utilised figured rosewood veneer, solid mahogany, and brass fittings, often featuring gadrooned borders and triform bases.

Authentic pieces exhibit heavy proportions, distinct lotus leaf or fluted column carvings, hand-sawn dovetail joints inside drawers or wells, and original brass castors under scroll feet.

Position the table in an empty alcove, reading nook, or alongside a sofa to serve as an accent piece, pairing its dark wood tones with neutral contemporary upholstery.

Dust the surface regularly with a soft microfibre cloth and apply a high-quality beeswax polish once or twice a year to preserve the original patina and prevent wood shrinkage.
