The base with matching figured timbers and canted corners, sat on the original foot. The 8 day bell striking movement with anchor escapement sat behind a brass and silvered dial. Engraved arcaded design chapter ring and cartouche bearing the makers name Lowrey, Whitehaven. Engraved centre and complimenting cast spandrels to the corners. Concentric calendar indicating the date on the chapter ring and sailing ship automaton to the arch. Fully serviced movement in working order, the case with rich colour and deep polish. Measures 90" high x 21" maximum width x 10" deep.
