Ornate French Brass Antique Lantern

Description

Good quality French gilded brass rococo style hexagonal hanging lantern.

With decorative gilded brass rococo frame, pretty shell mouldings, reeded central stem holding four simple arms. The panels of glass have etched wheat patterns and are held with a decorative brass frame.

A good decorative hall lantern of good large scale in excellent original condition and a great patina.

This pretty pair have a delicate gilt frame which is studded with tiny beads throughout from which hang chains of button drops and the wall-lights are dressed overall with pear drops, French slabs drops and oval crystals. They have three simple arms each holding cut glass bobeche drip pans from which dangle small French slab crystals. c1920's Restored, wired, PAT tested and ready to hang.
