Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Produced during the reign of King William IV between 1830 and 1837, this style bridges the Regency and Victorian eras. It is characterised by substantial proportions, turned pedestals, and carved botanical or scroll detailing.

These tables were typically constructed using solid timber foundations covered in figured rosewood or mahogany veneers. The interiors of fold-over tops frequently contain wool baize lining set over concealed storage wells.

Authentic pieces feature distinct rosewood graining, heavy central turned columns, and quadform plinth bases with carved feet or brass castors. Hand-cut joinery on internal storage compartments further confirms period origin.

Positioned against a wall in an entryway or living space, the folded table functions as a console for lamps and decorative objects. It can be moved and unfolded when additional surface space or games seating is required.

Position the piece away from direct sunlight and radiators to avoid veneer lifting or timber fading. Wax the surface periodically with a natural beeswax polish along the grain direction to protect the finish.
