A George III period mahogany tallboy / chest on chest.
The cornice is over three short and six long drawers, all with Chinoiserie style brasses (later), with a brushing slide to the centre of the piece; the whole is raised upon four bracket feet.
The chest has knocks and wear throughout, most noticeably a chip to the top righthand cornice and middle left hand corner, just below the waist moulding. The whole chest has been re-finished in recent history and boasts a fine glossy finish.
