Description

After Félix Lecompte (1737-1817) a parian ware bust of very large proportion depicting Marie Antoinette. Beautifully detailed with flowers in her hair and a pendent around her neck showing Louis XVI of France.

Manufactured in France with marks verso, the bust sits on a socle which allows it to be moved around for display purposes.

The original bust can be found in the palace of Versailles. A fabulous decorating piece. Circa 1910-1920
