Victorian Oak Games Compendium

A Victorian oak cased games compendium with superb original contents C.1900. The polished solid oak case with hinged opening top and double opening doors to the front. The top lifting and the double doors opening to reveal a fitted interior with a full fruitwood and ebony chess set sat on pegs in the doors. Three layers of games to the centre section all sat in the original polished oak trays. The lid housing the original fold out leather gaming board for chess, draughts, backgammon and steeplechase. The top layer with cards and leather covered whist and bezique markers. The next layer with cribbage board, pegs dice and a set of dominoes and draughts. The base section with fruitwood dice shaker, hammer, bone counters and lead horses for steeplechase. All in excellent condition and ready to be used and enjoyed. Presented in superb condition with a deep shine to the case. Box measures 13.5" wide x 9" deep x 7" high.
