Sturmans Antiques has dated this piece to the Regency era.
Matching glazed sides with quarter plate bevelled edge glass. Hinged glazed door to the front and matching rear door. Sat on the original bun feet. The fine quality original double fusse movement with bell striking on the hour and anchor escapement, superb silvered dial with engraved spandrels to the corners and Roman numerals, original blued steel hands. Bears the makers name to the dial. Richard Webster was known to be working between 1807 and 1840 and was a member of the clock makers guild, his works are known to be of high quality. This excellent example in very original condition with a good patina, sold fully serviced and working. Measures 14" high x 10" wide x 7" deep.
