A pair of attractive 19th century carved wood and bronze stag bookends, with the wood finely carved into the form of books.

The wood shows signs of wear to the extremities and one bookend has a circular scuff to the wood near the stag. Both bookends nonetheless remain attractive and look lovely in situ.

Original green baize lining remains to the base of both bookends.
