A charming pair of 19th century oil on canvas portraits depicting a seated husband and wife. Both portraits depict the sitter in a red chair, with each composed such that the portraits face each other. Both works are housed in a black and gilt frame with red velvet mount.

Both works show some craquelure to the oil (the gentleman's more so than the lady's) and minor signs of wear commensurate with age to the frame but generally remain in a good attractive condition.
