A stunning midcentury abstract oil on board by the listed artist William Ernst Burwell (1911-1974). Beatifully painted with heavily applied textures. It is in its original gallery frame of painted softwood. We have obtained several of the artists works from his studio. Painting has the artists gallery label to the reverse. Condition of painting is very good. The original frame has bumped corners, some marks and some overpainting where the artist has touched up the edge of the painting, but is generally good.
