A George III Mahogany Canterbury

Description

A fine George III mahogany Canterbury, the top with concave dividers and carrying handle to the centre, and with turned knobs to the corners over turned bobbin supports and fitted with a drawer with brass handles, on turned supports with brass casters. English circa 1800.

Condition: Excellent, the Canterbury is solid and robust, the drawer slides well, and the handles and casters are the originals. There are a couple of historic repairs to the dividers, however these do not detract from the piece. It has a good colour and pleasing patination.
