A beautiful pair of antique bombe shaped French marble top commodes, dating from around the 1930’s period.

They are of lovely quality and have stunning inlaid marquetry of various woods. There are superb decorative ormolu mounts throughout, and they have a gorgeous, curvaceous design. The thick off white marble tops are serpentine shaped to match the fronts of the chests. These are a great size and are useful for around the home, in the living room or even as large bedside chests.

We have had these recently re-polished, they are in very good condition for their age, with some minor wear here and there remaining beneath the polish in places.
