Antique Skeleton Clock, Fusee, Strike

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Clockwise

For your consideration Clockwise is proud to present this fine example of a Victorian brass single fusee eight day chain-driven skeleton clock with a fretted frame which benefits from an hourly passing strike on a bell. The wheels are all five spoke as is the norm with a high quality movement and the clock retains its original heavy pendulum. The 8.75 inch restored silvered pierced dial is a lovely feature of this clock complimented by the original hands and the recently serviced movement rests upon curving supports and cylindrical stepped feet. The original glass dome is free of any cracks and has that attractive ''shimmer'' of old glass and all of this rests on a white marble stepped base to complete the impressive appearance.

The clock is 19cms deep, 47cms high and 29cms wide.

Dating from the 1870''s and increasing hard to find in this condition this clock is priced very well and comes with my three year guarantee as standard. This is one of two skeleton clocks I currently have for sale.

Rather than trusting a courier of any sort I recommend collection or I can deliver regionally/nationally. I do use Royal Mail as a courier and post nationally so this tracked and insured service is available, please enquire for a quote. All antique clocks require delicate handling and specific setting up so it is far better for a dealer to meet a client and talk them through the process, or set the clock up for them, rather than leave the client struggling at the other end on their own. I am always available for a video chat should there be any problems.
