A stunning 19th century French bronze sculpture depicting a man fighting a tiger. Signed in the bronze E.Drouot and with the Paris foundry mark. Set on a verdi marble base.
This bronze sculpture is in excellent condition, wonderful detail and with a rich two tone patination.

Born on April 3 1859 in Sommevoire, France.
He studied at the E''cole des Beaux-Arts in Paris under the guidance of French sculptor Mathurim Moreau.
He exhibiting at the Paris Salon from 1889- onwards, exhibiting many of his bronzes and marble sculptures.
He was considered to be a extremely skilled sculptor and his pieces are highly sought after today.
