Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Often referred to as a classic parlour grand, the Model B was designed to balance tonal clarity, projection, and cabinet proportion, making it suitable for both private music rooms and small performance venues.

Pianos from the 1920s were constructed using cast-iron plates, spruce soundboards, and hardwood cabinets finished in dark lacquers such as ebonised wood or mahogany veneers.

Authentic examples feature a serial number stamped on the cast-iron plate near the tuning pins, accompanied by the manufacturer name cast into the plate and printed above the keyboard.

An ebonised grand piano functions as a structural anchor in a living space or music room, best positioned in an open area away from direct radiators and framed by modern architectural lighting.

Maintain a stable indoor humidity between 45% and 55% to protect the wooden soundboard from cracking, dust the ebonised surface with a dry microfibre cloth, and schedule regular tuning by a professional technician.
